Starting fresh

Welcome to my blog! I am extremely excited to join blog spot and share my life with everyone. Especially since we are expecting a new addition to our family! -Aidan Lucas Tysinger-

So, today wasn't one of the best days of my pregnancy. I am currently 35 weeks and 3 days. Only 32 days left until my EDD! Woke up with some sort of bug going around, along with all those horrible third trimester pregnancy symptoms.[Yuckk} So I've been living on water, chicken soup, and saltines!

Today is also day 3 of my love being gone. He is currently in the beautiful city of Charelston,SC in a fishing tournament! Today was the first day of the tournament and they placed 6th out of  183 boats competing! I am one proud mama! Lets hope they can keep this up tomorrow and catch an even bigger fish! :)

After laying around all day trying to get better, I had an urge to do some baking! I made rice Krispy Treats and Cheesecake sopapillas! I've made rice krispy treats before and they always turn out great!and like always I was browsing Pinterest and found a picture of the cheesecake sopapillas and was dying to try them...so I did :)

......and they turned out FANTASTIC!

Here's the recipe for those who want to try these <3

                                                             Sopapilla Cheesecake
2 cans Pillsbury Crescent rolls
2-8oz Cream Cheese
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 stick butter (1/2 cup real butter not margarine)
Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray. Unroll and press 1 can crescent rolls into the bottom of your baking dish press the seams together. In a separate bowl blend the cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and 1 tsp vanilla. spread over top of dough. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place on top of the cream cheese mixture pressing seams together again. Melt butter and pour over top layer of crescents. Mix the reaming 1/2 cup of sugar & cinnamon together. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture generously over the top. If you don’t think that’s enough cinnamon sugar on top add more its really up to you there’s no rules on this part of the recipe. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until bubbly and bottom crust is slightly brown. Cool, slice and enjoy!
